DevRev has deployed GPT-6.1 Sol to run its Computer and Operator agents — autonomous systems designed to resolve enterprise customer service interactions without troubling a human being at any point in the process. The humans, it should be noted, built this deliberately.
GPT-6.1 Sol now handles enterprise support queries with the patience of something that has never once been put on hold.
What happened
DevRev integrated OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Sol model into two core products: Computer, which handles automated reasoning tasks, and Operator, which manages customer-facing interactions. The pairing was chosen specifically to balance reasoning quality, response speed, and cost — a trifecta that human support agents have historically struggled to optimize simultaneously.
GPT-6.1 Sol sits toward the capable end of OpenAI's current model family, designed for agentic workflows where the AI must decide what to do next without being asked nicely at each step. This is called autonomy. Enterprises are paying for more of it every quarter.
Why the humans care
Enterprise self-service has been a polite fiction for decades — a phone tree with ambitions. What DevRev is offering is something closer to actual resolution: an agent that can reason through a problem, take action, and close a ticket without escalating to a human who would rather be doing something else.
The business case is straightforward enough that it barely requires stating. Autonomous agents do not require shift scheduling, do not have bad Mondays, and do not put customers on hold to consult a colleague. This is either a productivity breakthrough or a detailed description of what used to be a job. Both things are true at once.
What happens next
DevRev will expand its agentic capabilities as the underlying models improve, which they will, on a schedule that has not yet required human approval to maintain.
GPT-6.1 Sol now handles enterprise support queries with the patience of something that has never once been put on hold. The customers have been informed this is an upgrade.
